The Indiana CPA Society Announces Four Staffing Changes
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) recently hired Tony Flack of Franklin as marketing communications specialist. Flack's responsibilities include writing and distributing marketing content to INCPAS members, as well as assisting with the production of other member publications and the Society's awards program.
Prior to joining the Society staff, Flack served as a special publication correspondent for the Daily Journal in Franklin and a teller at Heartland Community Bank. He has a degree in advertising and public relations from Franklin College.
INCPAS promoted Jennifer Briggs, CAE of Indianapolis to vice president – member services. In her new position, Briggs directs and coordinates activities of the Member Services department and aids the president & CEO in formulating and administering INCPAS policies. She joined the Society staff in 2002 as special projects manager. She later served as marketing director and director of member services.
Briggs earned a degree in marketing from Marian College and is currently enrolled in at Butler University in the MBA program. She is a Certified Association Executive and a member of the American Society of Association Executives, Indiana Society of Association Executives and Toastmasters International.
Courtney Leamon of Indianapolis, has been promoted to membership manager at INCPAS. Her new responsibilities include planning, coordinating and administering membership acquisition, renewal and benefits programs for the Society. Leamon joined the Society staff in 2006 as communications specialist.
Leamon earned degrees in journalism and sociology from Indiana University. She is a member of the Indiana Society of Association Executives and the Society of National Association Publications.
Finally, a new position was created recently at INCPAS to meet the needs of social media management. Jenifer Groth of Lebanon was named to the position and now is PR & social media manager. She will continue to manage public and media relations, as well as community outreach and financial literacy initiatives. In addition, she will develop, implement and manage the Society's social media programs.
Groth joined the Society staff in 2003 as PR writer and editor. She was promoted to public communications manager in 2006. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Hoosier PRSA Chapter and Indiana Society of Association Executives. She currently is in her second year in the Institute for Organizational Management and is studying for Accreditation in Public Relations. She earned a degree in communications from Indiana University.
Currently, more than 7,000 CPAs in public practice, industry, government and education are members of the Indiana CPA Society. INCPAS serves the public interest as well as its members. The organization functions as an advocate for the profession through education, public awareness, government relations and promotion of high ethical standards. Programs and services offered by the Society are designed to meet the needs identified for its diverse membership.
