State Representatives Crouch and GiaQuinta to Address Indiana CPAs at CPAs in Business & Industry Conference on June 25
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana CPA Society's 2008 CPAs in Business & Industry Conference is being held June 25 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. The conference is being sponsored by the Hylant Group.
This conference features an update on the current ethics standards and the potential merger with international rules, and information on international financial reporting standards (IFRS). Other sessions will focus on current issues and trends. Mohammed F. Khayum, Ph.D. with University of Southern Indiana will give an economic update, and state Reps. Suzanne Crouch (R-Evansville) and Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wanye), will give a legislative update.

- How are area businesses identifying weaknesses in their internal controls and what are they doing to prevent fraud from occurring?
- How is the economic environment in the U.S. affecting local businesses?
- What happened in the 2008 legislative session? How will it affect local businesses?
- How are local businesses dealing with generational issues?
