Story Ideas
Fraud issues not only have an impact on CPAs, but also impact businesses in local communities. Some story suggestions include the following:

  • The news has become a daily roundup of fraud stories with embezzlement cases or Ponzi schemes rocking investors, employers and individuals. What are some simple, cost-effective ways companies can reduce the risk of fraud?

  • No one wants to encounter fraud in their organization, however, employee fraud is on the rise. What steps can be taken to protect the rights of the suspect, the employee and the organization?

  • For many years now, information systems have had the capability to assist organizations in deterring, preventing and detecting fraud and the misuse of information assets. What options are available to prevent information systems from becoming the tools to conduct fraud?
