Locker Named Best and Brightest Finalist

 

INDIANAPOLIS - This year 100 of Central Indiana's outstanding young professionals were honored at the annual Indy's Best & Brightest award dinner on Sept. 27. Indiana CPA Society member, Troy J. Gilstorf, CPA was named the winner of the accounting category. Nine other Society members including Indianapolis resident (from Peoria, Ill.), Veronica Locker, CPA, were recognized in the accounting, banking and financial services and government categories. Locker is with Duke Realty and was named one of Indy's Best and Brightest in the accounting category. Positively affecting others and demonstrating leadership qualities are two of the requirements for nomination. Locker is a former Indiana CPA Society board member and recently was elected to the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana board of directors.

"In reflecting upon my career to date, there are different moments that stand out where potential adversities could have derailed me," said Locker. "Being noted as one of the Best and Brightest was further affirmation that success comes on its own through perseverance, hard work, determination, and maintaining a positive perspective during challenging times."
