Eighth Annual INCPAS Case Study Competition Finalists Announced
INDIANAPOLIS-In this year's Indiana CPA Society Case Study Competition, 11 student teams from Indiana colleges and universities composed succession plans for the partners of fictitious firm Winter, Winter and Summer. Teams of four students from Indiana colleges with accounting departments were invited to participate. The six schools advancing to the oral competition are Butler University, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Manchester College, Saint Mary's College, University of Southern Indiana and Valparaiso University.
The eighth Case Study Competition began Oct. 5 with each team having ten days to submit a written case. The six finalists were selected on Oct. 26 and will come to Indianapolis for oral presentations on Nov. 2. Winners will be announced and all finalists will be recognized at CPA Celebration '07 that evening at Union Station in downtown Indianapolis.
The top three teams will be awarded individual cash prizes in the amounts of $1,000 for first, $750 for second and $500 for third. Additionally, Honorable Mention cash prize awards in the amount of $100 per person will be given to the other three finalist teams.
