Story Ideas
Topics covered have an impact on individual taxpayers and businesses. With so many topics to choose from, a number of different story ideas or angles are possible. Some suggestions include the following:
- The conference offers updates regarding newly-enacted statutory provisions. How will these affect individual taxpayers?
- Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, taxpayers will be able to convert their existing retirement savings
accounts to Roth IRAs regardless of their adjusted gross income. What are the pros and cons of making this conversion?
- Indiana Chamber
President Kevin Brinegar will review the latest information
available on the impact of the state property tax caps. What is likely to happen
with that issue in the upcoming session of the Indiana General Assembly?
- A business can only work for a government agency if it has been government certified. What are the advantages of being a woman or minority-owned business when bidding on government contracts at the city, county, state and federal levels?
