INCPAS members are urged to write to the Financial Accounting Foundation and continue to express their support for the Blue-Ribbon Panel's recommendations even after the FAF's latest proposal, which does not include a separate standard-setting board for private company financial reporting. Use the letter-writing tool and help shape the future of the CPA profession.

Emerging Leaders Alliance

Members of ELA are up-and-coming leaders with generally seven years or less experience in the CPA profession.  This advisory body meets twice annually along with the INCPAS Leadership Cabinet, and its members serve as advocates for the CPA profession, effective communicators to peers, and active volunteers in Society outreach.

Criteria for Appointment

  • INCPAS member
  • Generally less than seven years experience in the CPA profession
  • Pursuing the CPA designation or already a CPA
  • E-mail address (all correspondence is via e-mail)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and professional learning
  • Create opportunities to develop skills that will serve the profession and employers
  • Engage other new professionals
  • Move the profession forward through thoughtful feedback to Society leadership

2011-12 Term Meetings Dates:

  • Oct. 27-28, 2011 (Indianapolis)
  • May 23-24, 2012 (Indianapolis)
