Diversity

Ethnic diversity in the CPA profession in Indiana has not kept up with ethnic diversity in the general population.

The Society recognizes that new efforts are necessary to embrace diversity. A series of initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of the need for diversity throughout the profession have been launched, along with programs designed to encourage students of diverse backgrounds to consider accounting.

Not only will advances in ethnic diversity increase the talent pool of future CPAs, but will enable the profession to better serve clients and employers and strengthen the CPA’s role as an objective expert.
