Networking for Young Pros.
This networking series is for young CPAs and soon-to-be CPAs ... members and nonmembers alike. Come relax, and dare we say it? Have some fun with other young professionals! So loosen the ties, take off the jacket and change out of your high heels because who says you can't have a little fun?
Sound too good to be true? Take a look at our history. So far our Young Pros have enjoyed a private wine micro party, lazers, bowling shoes and pool cues. As you read this, we are busy planning more events throughout the state!
We've just announced two upcoming Indy events!
On Sept. 9, we'll host Fondue and Fabulousness, an evening to meet new people while cheesy, salty and sweet fondue flavors at the Melting Pot in the Castleton area. Then, on Oct. 7, we've asked the chef at the Indianapolis Museum of Art's Nourish Cafe to whip up some great food and pair it with a variety of wines so we can enjoy it all over conversation for our Culture and Cuisine event. Not to worry - we're coming to the Evansville and Fort Wayne soon too! On Aug. 26, Tin Caps fans won't don't miss Baseballs and Brews! Come cheer on the Tin Caps from the Homerun Porch as they destroy the Great Lakes Loons.
Evansville young pros, we're heading down south on Oct. 21 for some Games and Grub. We've rented out the Fox and Hound’s Burgundy Room. Challenge one another to a game of pool, shuffle board, ping pong, darts, corn-hole, or Golden Tee, there’s no way you’ll be bored.
Who should attend these parties?
Young Pros Parties are for members and non-members alike, so run it by your friends that are soon-to-be CPAs and those who’ve only recently kicked off their careers. Having trouble choosing which friend to bring? Might we suggest a new CPA from your office.
New this year, we've added a new contest element to help entice our members to convince non-members to attend our parties and join the Society. Now through Dec. 31, we will be running a points-based contest for members! Points will be awarded to members who bring nonmembers that passed the Exam after 1/1/2009 and additional points if that individual joins. The member with the most points will be awarded a brand-new iPad on Jan. 15, 2011!
