A recent AICPA vote gives Institute members the option to use International Financial Reporting Standards as an alternative to U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.

AICPA Launches New IFRS Web Site
The new site, IFRS.com, was developed to help financial professionals learn about and stay informed on International Financial Reporting Standards.

New Specialty Credential to Launch in Fall
The new CPA specialty credential, Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), will combine specialized forensic accounting expertise with core knowledge and skills.

Accounting Grads the Top Pick
The most employable 2008 college grads — accounting majors. Employers project 23 percent of 2008 entry-level hires will have a degree in accounting, according to a recent survey.

Tax Provision Essential to CPAs Passed
Legislation aimed at equalizing tax return reporting standards for tax preparers and taxpayers has been passed by the U.S. House of Representatives.
