	Changes in Compilation and Review Up for Debate ARSC has released an exposure draft in response to the Reliability Task Force's recommendations on compilation and review. AICPA's Barry Melancon discusses the possible effects on real-world services of small firms. Accounting Jobs Withstand Unemployment Hit Accounting and bookkeeping services added 2,600 jobs in an otherwise dismal unemployment report. Long-term trends show a relatively good outlook for CPA firms. A Roadmap for the Next Generation The AICPA has announced new student outreach initiatives that aim to provide the next generation with more information regarding a career as a CPA. The CPA Exam: Debunking the Myths A recent blog shines a light on common questions and misconceptions many have about the CPA Exam. Big Changes Ahead for Accounting Research July 1 marks the day FASB Accounting Standards Codification becomes the single source of authoritative reporting standards. 	New! International Financial Reporting Standards The SEC draws criticism after the release of a proposed roadmap for the adoption of IFRS in the United States. New! XBRL A national survey shows plans for the mandated switch to XBRL are lagging. New! Sarbanes-Oxley Remember the Sarbanes-Oxley Act? The current financial meltdown has actually validated provisions from the 2002 act.
