IRS Starts 2010 with Heavy Tax Requirements
Though it won't affect the 2010 filing season, big changes are in tax preparers' futures. The IRS pledges that all paid tax prepares — excluding CPAs, attorneys or enrolled agents — will soon be required to register, complete competency testing and obtain continuing professional education.
