Important CPA Profession Issues Demand Your Attention
Changes in private company financial reporting, participation in the CPA Horizons 2025 project and the joint venture between the AICPA and CIMA have been prevalent in CPA profession news for some time. Now, focus on these issues has sharpened and requires support from the entire profession. Find out how you'll be affected and how you can make a difference.

Private Company GAAP — We Need Your Support
The INCPAS Board adopted a resolution on June 17 in support of the Blue Ribbon Panel report on Private Company Financial Reporting. The Financial Accounting Foundation is currently considering the panel's recommendations. The board urges you to contact the FAF expressing your support and other opinions you may have. Learn more about the issue.

CPA Horizons 2025 — Anticipate and Plan for the Future
The CPA Horizons 2025 project intends to build upon the foundation of the CPA Vision Project from the late '90s, validate the findings, and discuss where the CPA profession goes in the future. It should take no more than 30 minutes of your time to help identify the important issues facing the CPA profession over the next several years. Visit the Horizon 2025 web page to participate in the survey.

Joint Venture — an Influential Alliance in the Profession
The joint venture brings together two recognized accounting organizations — the AICPA and CIMA — and creates the new Chartered Global Management Accountant credential. The CGMA is designed to advance the science of management accounting worldwide. This issue will mature in the coming months and years, but we want to advise you — the joint venture was approved by the AICPA Governing Council. The Society will provide more updates as they develop.
