2024 INCPAS Year in Review

Dec 12, 2024

A Look Back at 2024
It was a big year for INCPAS and the profession, including movement on pipeline conversations, exciting partnerships and new connections to students!

Before we say hello to 2025, join us in celebrating highlights from 2024.

State and national leaders joined us for Vision 2027.

Leaders from The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ), Indiana Chamber of Commerce, NABA Inc. and American Association of Latino Professionals (ALPFA) joined us this May to have meaningful conversations on workforce development and the future of the accounting talent pipeline. The event also brought together leadership from other state CPA societies alongside business owners from across Indiana. This one-day event marked the launch of our larger initiative to continue boosting workforce development in Indiana and beyond.

INCPAS and NABA Inc. joined forces for ConnectIN.

This fall, INCPAS and NABA Inc. announced the launch of ConnectIN, a collaboration focused on strengthening workforce development, talent pipelines and entrepreneurship. We’re excited to create innovative solutions to ongoing talent challenges together and work to build a more comprehensive workforce in our communities.

INCPAS leadership laid the groundwork for meaningful conversations around the pipeline.

In February, INCPAS leadership reviewed our position statements and updated them to accommodate potential changes to CPA licensure pathways. This made us well-positioned to deliver critical and thoughtful comments on the two AICPA and NASBA exposure drafts released this fall, each revolving around the potential for a competency-based education (CBE) pathway. Read our response to the Uniform Accountancy Act (UAA) changes and the new pathway.

Together we raised $17,130 dollars for the Indiana CPA Educational Foundation at November’s CPA Celebration.

As we continue our efforts to expand the pipeline, supporting and investing in future talent is crucial. These donations will directly impact Foundation programming such as INCPAS Scholars, CPA Week, and our scholarship programs.

But Celebration gave us plenty more to celebrate!

This night to remember included:

  • 345 guests representing 49 firms and organizations
  • 11 award winners recognized across 9 categories
  • 40 successful CPA Exam candidates and 9 high grade award winners in attendance

High school programming continued to thrive.

Our free high school membership, launched just last year, is now 650+ members strong, while our student-focused Instagram account has surpassed 200 followers. In addition, INCPAS members helped us deliver two successful CPA Weeks in May and November. Combined, INCPAS members led 71 presentations to almost 3,000 Indiana high school students.

Thank you for being a part of our 2024!
