Step Up & Stand Out as an INCPAS Student Ambassador

The INCPAS Student Ambassador Program is all about stepping up as a leader and making a difference in the accounting world — right on your campus.

You’ll be the go-to person for helping your classmates discover resources, opportunities and events that can seriously level up their accounting careers. Plus, you’ll get the chance to plan events and connect with industry pros, build your network, and gain some real leadership experience.

Oh, and did we mention the perks? Ambassadors get a $500 stipend, INCPAS swag, free INCPAS student membership, and shoutouts for their hard work. It’s an awesome way to grow your skills, meet new people, and make your mark — all in just 15–20 hours of commitment a year!

Requirements
  • Class Standing: Must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate student majoring in accounting (during the Fall 2025 semester).
  • Attend a Pilot University: Ball State, Butler, Indiana State, IU Bloomington, IU Indianapolis, Marian, Purdue Northwest, Purdue West Lafayette.
  • GPA: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Internship Experience: Successfully complete at least one accounting internship by Summer 2025.
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage responsibilities and connect with others.
  • Passion & Commitment: Show a genuine interest in accounting and clear dedication to pursuing the CPA license.
  • Professionalism: Exhibit reliability, accountability, respectful communication and a positive attitude in all interactions.
Roles & Responsibilities

As an INCPAS Student Ambassador, you’ll take on a leadership role that empowers you to connect with your peers, promote accounting as a career and share the benefits of INCPAS membership. Your work will help build awareness, provide resources and create exciting opportunities for students to engage with the accounting profession.

What you’ll do:

  • Attend Training: Participate in a virtual Student Ambassador training session to learn the ins and outs of the program, setting you up for success. Don’t worry, we’ll work with you on a date that aligns with your schedule!
  • Host Events: Plan at least one event (panel, networking event, information session, etc.) each semester. These can be done in collaboration with other groups such as ALPFA or NABA.
  • Promote on Social Media: Use platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn to raise awareness of INCPAS student membership and highlight its benefits.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up with INCPAS news and share updates on resources, events, and opportunities, such as Mock Exam dates, Young Pros events, and our student leadership series.
  • Share Opportunities: Promote INCPAS scholarships, professional development resources and student membership to your peers.

This role is designed to not only make an impact on your campus but also help you build leadership, communication and organizational skills for your future career.
