Indiana CPA Society Online Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Indiana CPA Society collects, uses, and discloses personal information about our members, prospective members, customers and visitors to our website at www.incpas.org.

Indiana CPA Society is committed to providing you the opportunity for a positive experience during your visit to our website, while respecting and striving to protect your online privacy. And because protecting your privacy is very important, we have adopted this policy to safeguard your personal information and protect its confidentiality.

This online privacy policy governs personal information gathered on our Internet sites (www.incpas.org and its aliases) but not third-party sites linked on our website. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by organizations sponsoring these linked sites. If you go to one of these linked sites, you should read their privacy policy and choose whether to let them collect information about what you do on the Internet.

A. Commitment to Online Privacy
Indiana CPA Society collects personal information from our visitors on a voluntary basis only. We will limit the collection and use of personal information to what is necessary to manage our professional society, provide you with the highest quality visit, and offer you information we think will be of interest. The individual information we collect is used only to facilitate the on-line experience through enhanced navigation or to suggest areas in which we may improve the structure and content of the site. We do not sell, rent or transmit personal information to other organizations unless the Society has formed an alliance / partnership to provide services to enhance your professional success and that organization has agreed to comply with this policy.

However, the Society could be required to disclose personal information in response to valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, or court order. Disclosure may also be appropriate to protect the Society's legal rights or during emergencies if physical safety is believed to be at risk. The Society will take reasonable steps to limit the scope and consequences of any such disclosures.

B. Personal Information that May be Collected Online
Some of our website is restricted to members of the Indiana CPA Society and requires a member ID and password to gain access. In a few areas of our website and online member support tools, we ask you to provide information that will enable us to enhance your site visit, to assist you in obtaining services or to follow up with you after your visit. It is completely optional for you to participate. The personal information we may ask for are your name, street address, city, county, state, country, province, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, credit card information as well as other similar personal information that is needed to register or subscribe to services or offers. This personally identifiable information is only collected when voluntarily submitted by a visitor in one of our online information / order or e-mail correspondence forms.

We collect your phone number through our contact information form, and with your consent we will send you text messages if you’ve opted in. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from text messages. We will never share your customer data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Note: The Indiana CPA Society does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our sites are structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.
