INDIANAPOLIS —The Indiana CPA Educational Foundation provides financial assistance to students pursuing their accounting major and ultimate entry into the CPA profession. This scholarship program was established in 2021 as part of a strategic initiative to help build the accounting workforce in Indiana by alleviating financial and logistical barriers to sitting for the CPA Exam and obtaining the CPA license.
In addition to renewable college scholarships, in 2024 the Foundation added a new CPA Exam scholarship to cover out-of-pocket Exam-related costs such as Exam Review courses and Exam Section fees. This Exam Scholarship is presented in collaboration with ALPFA Indianapolis and the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of NABA Inc.
2024–25 College Scholarship Recipients
Seven aspiring CPAs representing five Indiana universities were selected for this year's Indiana CPA Educational Foundation Scholarship.
This college scholarship provides financial assistance to Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) student members pursuing their accounting degree and entry into the CPA profession. Scholarships are $1,000–$2,000 per year and renewable for up to $5,000 total per recipient, dependent on recipient meeting the renewal criteria.
This year’s new class of scholarship recipients will receive a total of $14,500:
- Joel Fowerbaugh – Graduate Student, Purdue University
- Nathan Galles – Senior, Purdue University
- Jordan Hes – Sophomore, Indiana University Indianapolis
- Katherine Hoff – Graduate Student, Indiana University Bloomington
- Alex Perry – Junior, University of Southern Indiana
- Ashley Schmid – Graduate Student, Purdue Global
- Elise Scrogham – Graduate Student, Indiana University Indianapolis
In addition, five previous scholarship recipients have met their renewal criteria and are receiving an additional year of funding:
- Cooper Davis – Senior, Indiana University Bloomington
- Macie Hadley – Senior, Marian University
- Austin Ramirez – Senior, Indiana University Kokomo
- Jessica Luna-Tovar – Senior, Marian University
- *Sophia Villacorta – Graduate Student, Indiana University
Villacorta graduated from the INCPAS Scholars year-long career awareness and mentoring program.

2024–25 CPA Exam Scholarship Recipients
Four CPA candidates were selected for this year's CPA Exam Scholarship in collaboration with ALPFA Indianapolis and the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of NABA Inc.
This year’s new class of scholarship recipients was announced at the 2024 NABA Convention & Expo. They will each receive nearly $4,000 to cover Exam-related costs:

- Min Chung Liu
- Mariana Villasenor
