The deadline to renew your CPA license and firm permit with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency was June 30, 2024. In case you missed it, you should renew now and pay the late fee of $50.
Reminder to individuals with a "Retired" status: You do not need to renew because IPLA treats you as permanently retired unless you eventually seek to reinstate your license.
A Look at the Numbers
IPLA reports Indiana has 10,069
CPA licensees and 778 firms with permits.
The Indiana Board of Accountancy will conduct a CPE audit, auditing 5% of active licensees, this fall. If you are selected for the audit, you will receive a notification by email or mail. IPLA plans to send notifications in September 2024. The audit will be conducted in October.
You are responsible for retaining your CPE records for 36 months from the end of the reporting period for which it applied. If you didn’t review your CPE records when you renewed, now would be a great time to check to be sure you are in compliance and that you have all of your documentation. If you took CPE from the Society and need certificates of completion, call our member services team at (317) 726-5000.
