INDIANAPOLIS—Courtney Kincaid, CAE, has been promoted to president and CEO of the Indiana CPA Society. She is the sixth CEO in the organization's 106-year history and succeeds Jennifer Briggs, CAE.
Kincaid joined the Society staff in 2006 and has served as communications specialist, membership and volunteer manager, senior manager – member services, director – membership and engagement, and vice president - strategic initiatives.
She earned her bachelor's in journalism and sociology from Indiana University in 2005, and her master's in public affairs, with a focus in nonprofit management, from IUPUI's School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2013. She graduated from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute of Organization Management in 2014 and earned her Certified Association Executive credential in 2017. She received the Indiana Society of Association Executives' (ISAE) "Rising STAR of the Year Award" in 2011.
"I look forward to serving the Society as the President & CEO, something I never imagined when I first started working at INCPAS 15 years ago," says Kincaid. "It's truly a unique opportunity. I've worked very closely with Jennifer, our leadership team and board to craft a strategic vision for the future of the profession, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve together."
Kincaid was selected by the INCPAS Board of Directors' Executive Committee, chaired by Erland Porter, CPA, CGMA.
"As the vice president of strategic initiatives, Courtney developed experience guiding and measuring Society objectives," says Porter. "And with 12 years serving in multiple roles before that, she also brings with her a cross-department functionality. The Executive Committee anticipates she will be an exceptional leader for both members and staff, and we wish her the best in her new position as President & CEO."
