Good morning CPA Society friends,
On behalf of the entire DOR team, I am excited to share an update on how Rollout 2 of Project NextDOR is progressing after its launch on Sept. 8, 2020.
The great news is that we launched this rollout on time and on budget due to the amazing amount of hard work from both DOR teammates and our partner FAST Enterprises.
The system and all operations have been running smoothly. As expected, we are identifying and addressing minor enhancements and fixes. This will be a daily process as we fine-tune the system, operations and interfaces. Should you have recommendations on what might improve the customer experience further, please feel free to use our online customer feedback portal at feedback.dor.in.gov.
The taxes associated with Rollout 2 impacted over 200,000 business tax filers. Many of you or your clients will need to migrate from INtax, DOR’s previous online system for businesses to INTIME, our new online e-services portal. We have worked hard to make this process easy. A migration code is available in INtax facilitating the migration of all current tax types and clients into the new system. We have also created both how-to guides and video tutorials to help you navigate this process. You can find these at in.gov/dor/project-nextdor.
We have been live for one full week and transaction numbers are extremely positive. The entire year following Rollout 1 (corporate taxes), we had a total of 10,000 new INTIME user registrations. In just one week on R2, we had over 18,000 new user registrations, 22,000 business tax returns filed, 22,000 payments made, 1,200 client lists imported, 1,000 Power of Attorney requests and a total of 70,000 INTIME transactions The success of the self-service account setup has been beyond our expectations. Our proactive education and communication, and self-help guides are helping us get customers registered faster than expected. We truly appreciate everyone who is able to utilize our how-to guides and video tutorials to smoothly transition to INTIME.
As expected, our customer service team has been extremely busy helping customers with the new system. This has led to some longer hold times on the practitioner, business and INTIME call center lines both due to the volume of calls and the extra time we are taking with each customer. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that each customer receives the quality service they have come to expect from DOR. Although hold times may be temporarily higher than we want, we will not rush through calls. You can rest assured that each customer is getting thorough and skilled assistance to successfully transition to INTIME. We encourage customers to take advantage of the self-serve help guides and materials we have created. If they still need our assistance, we are here to help.
We still have a long way to go to get every business customer migrated to INTIME, but our systems and operations are running smoothly. And we know with the help of partners like you, we will continue to make improvements and be successful. As always, let us know if we can help in any way. We are just a phone call or email away.
Stay safe and be well,
Bob Grennes
DOR Commissioner
